Lotus is flower that has a life cycle unlike any other plant, with its roots latched in mud, it submerges every night into river water and miraculously re-blooms the next morning sparkling clean. Despite the lotus's environment it arises clean, pure, and resilient. You wouldn't expect something out the mud to come up and bloom so beautifully. Because of this the lotus flower is a representation of rebirth and spiritual enlightenment.
